Sledding on a Beautiful Day

Mindy and Ron came up a couple weekends ago to go sledding. We had a great time. It could not of been a more perfect day. By the end we were all down to the smallest layer we had on, because it was so hot out. Leah, Michaela and Abbi were more into the pile of dirt at the bottom of the hill at first. But later they got into the sledding, and had a great time. I think this picture is Isabell is so cute. She just looks so content.
I was running late that day so when we got there Rachel was already sledding. I got the kids out of the car and walked over to were John was standing. Rachel came racing by us and my daughter says, "Mom, that was so freakin' fast." I wanted to die, with all the things said in front of her this is the first time she has really ever repeated anything. And yes she did say freakin' and not the other.

3 Princesses, 2 Basketball Players, 1 Fairy, 1 Hula Girl and 1 Proud Grandpa.

Whenever we try and take pictures of all the kids they never seem to turn out. Someone is always looking the wrong way or someones face is covering someone elses. So I decided to post all the pictures. All the kids were playing dress up. It was quite the mess to clean up.

1. Where did we meet? I don't know because I wasn't even born. But My Mom and Dad ran the snowmobile business out of the Golf Course, and My Mom remembers Mindy and Bug fighting over a Flinstone bottle. SHE WAS PREGNANT WITH ME! Thats how long I have known Buggy.

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? No idea.

3. Do you remember what he/she was wearing? A onsie maybe??? But I do remember when we played softball and he would wear his work boots with shorts. It was so funny.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person? In Luke's bathtub at the Truckee house. (There was no water in it, we had clothes on)

6. How long did you know this person before you became a couple? 18 years and 4 days

7. How did he/she ask you out? HA HA HA Luke was asking me over to the house because he liked that I always brought friends with me. So in a sence I guess Luke asked me out. I know that sounds kinda weird

8. How did he propose to you? No comment

9. Do you and this person have kids together? Abbi Reid June 28th 2005.
Thomas Cameron October 30th 2007

10. Have you ever broke the law with this person? Maybe when him and J were throwing beer bottles out of the back of my old jeep at signs on the River Road.

11. When was the first time you realized you liked this person? Pretty much when I started playing softball, I was 16. But I had a hugecrush on him. I remembered being so bummed when he didn't come to the games because he was in the Marines. My sister would always make fun of me that I would do my make-up and hair to go and play softball.

18. How long have you been together? Since August 5th 2000.

19. Are you Married? Yes!

20. Who do you tag? I tag Jessie, Rachel and Amy (when things calm down after the new baby.) Those are really the only people who read my blog.

The kids new fort

Before. Jenn's stroller Box. Sorry about the neck cramp.
Finshed!!!!! New Fort!!

O.K. So I'm totally fighting with my computer and as you can tell by my pictures the computer is winning. For some reason it won't let me turn my pictures because it says my pictures are in a read only file? I don't get it oh well. But this is the hole before we started.

Abbi working hard.
This is how far Bug got the first night.
By the end of the second day we had the second floor and the deck done.

When Jenn had her Baby shower, Mindy, Rachel and I went in and bought her, her stroller and car seat. Bug put the stroller together for her. So we had the huge box. Bug cut a door into it and 2 windows. And Abbi painted it. The kids play in it endlessly. So the other day while Bug watched them play in it for an hour. He got an idea to make a real play house and get rid of the box. So over the next 2 days, him and my Dad made the coolest play house I have ever seen. It turned out so cute. It has 4 lights inside. One even has a light switch. It has a sink, stairs, washer machine, stove, a recliner, and a bassinette.

$78.36

I just read Jessie's blog and I could not agree with her more. I think January is a very hard time to blog. (Unless you are adopting a beautiful baby girl.) But one of my resolutions was to not spend so much money on groceries. I swear I would be a millionare if I didn't have to grocery shop. So while in the bath, (the only time I get to read my magazines). There was a article called The Week's Dinner. The article said that with properly planned out meals you can feed a family of 4 on $71.00 a week with snacks. So I thought why not? I thought it was total impossible. My Mom had Abbi so it was just Thomas and I in the store so I could concentrate a little more.

Here is the grocery list
1 pound fresh green beans
1 bunch of carrots
1 large bunch of broccoli
2 heads of lettuce
1 large bag of grapes
5 medium bananas
2 medium pears
1 box of shredded wheat cereal (I don't like shredded wheat so I go Cheerios)
1 Box instant oatmeal
2 large breaded tilapia (We don't like fish so, I bought steak)
2 packages of chicken breast
1 package ground beef (I bought ground turkey)
1/2 pound of ham and cheese
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
1 box of crackers
1 box whole wheat penne pasta
1 box brown rice
1 box of granola bars
2 large yogurt containers
1 container of parmesan cheese
1 block of sharp cheese
1 bottle of light dressing
3 cans chicken broth
1 jar of peanut butter ( I didn't but this I already had some)
1 box of macaroni and cheese
1 can of black beans
2 jars of applesauce
1 jar salsa
1 single served tuna ( I don't like tuna so I bought chicken)
1 package of tortillas
1 package of bagels
1 loaf of whole wheat bread
3 half gallons of milk
1 half gallon of O.J.
1 dozen large eggs

So i bought everything for a total of 78.36. I was pretty proud of myself, and that included 2 rolls of paper towels. The aritcle mapped out the dinner and how to make them, but the breakfasts, lunches and snacks you were kinda on your own.

So I had all the food and I did it. I even had some left overs and my Sister made us dinner one night so we had a meal left to make. It was pretty cool. I didn't think it was possible to feed my family on that little of money. I guess I have been making some bad choices at the store.

The dinner where different then some of stuff I usually make

Day 1
Steak, broccoli and grean beans

Day 2
Breakfast, egg scramble with toast and orange juice

Day 3
Grilled chicken breast (my favorite), broccoli and pasta

Day 4
Take out pizza (I never did this, I made something from the freezer.)

Day 5
Shortcut chicken soup (YUM YUM YUM)

Day 6
Bean and beef burritos

Day 7
Whole wheat penne with meat sauce.

If you know me well enough I can't follow a recipes and I don't know how to measure. So my stuff turned out a little different. But I was proud of myself for doing it. Now I just need to keep making better choices at the Grocery store.

I know this was kinda a boring post, but I next one will be better when I upload picture of the coolest fort I have even seen, that My Dad and Bug built the kids. I'd do it now, but my camera is in the car and I have a hot bath waiting for me.
